Julien Laloux
For Julien Laloux, musical conducting draws on several practices. Trained in piano, transverse flute, singing and organ, he obtained a diploma and a first prize of virtuosity for the organ. He then refined his conducting skills with Michel Corboz and has regularly given concerts since 1998 as a soloist, accompanist and conductor.
His first concert with the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne took place in 2003. His career has also led him to conduct the Sinfonietta de Lausanne, Die Freitagsakademie and the Ensemble Arabesque. At the HEP Vaud, he directs the HEP choirs and teaches interdisciplinary courses in music and theatre.
In 2022, he co‑founded the ensemble evolutiO in Lutry, for which he serves as artistic director. His repertoire connects major works, from Bach to Mozart, with less familiar scores, notably the oratorios of Spohr and Donizetti. This attention to voices, instruments and audiences gives his projects a warm and open coherence.
