Uni3 Genève: an encounter that opens music to new audiences
On 16 February 2026, Uni3 Genève discovers Virtual Hall®. This encounter contributes to a partnership with the Bibliothèques municipales de Genève, where two headsets are now available to the public.
Discovering concerts in a different way
On 16 February 2026, Virtual Hall® was presented at Uni3, Geneva’s university for seniors. The presentation and demonstration offered a new way to approach a concert: no longer just facing the orchestra, but up close to its performers.
Initiated by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and developed by Cybel’Art, Virtual Hall® is based on recordings of real artists. Virtual reality highlights their gestures, interactions and the energy of playing together, while keeping the music at the heart of the experience.
From an encounter to public access in a library
Among its outcomes, this encounter led to a partnership with the Bibliothèques municipales de Genève. Since 26 September 2026, two headsets have been available to the public at the Bibliothèque de la Cité, in its dedicated music space.
Visitors can try the experience free of charge during opening hours, with staff on hand to help them get started. A concrete extension of the Uni3 encounter: taking the experience beyond a one-off demonstration and making it part of a cultural venue open to all.
