Verbier Festival 2026: Beethoven up close with the musicians

At the Verbier Festival 2026, three headsets let visitors discover Beethoven’s Seventh in VR, with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra and Cybel’Art: a different place at the heart of the music.

Beethoven’s Seventh, from within

During the 2026 edition of the Verbier Festival, from 16 July to 2 August, audiences could discover a virtual reality experience centred on Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7. Three headsets were available for this immersive encounter with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra.

The recording, made at Schloss Elmau in Bavaria with Gábor Takács-Nagy conducting, was developed with Cybel’Art and Virtual Hall®. The project accompanies the celebration of twenty years of the festival’s chamber orchestra.

A new sense of closeness to the performance

Up close to the musicians, listeners discover the movements, glances and collective pulse that bring the work to life. This is not a digitally recreated orchestra: the experience is based on recordings of real artists in their performance environment.

With Virtual Hall®, initiated by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and developed by Cybel’Art, this collaboration opens up another way to encounter one of the great works of the symphonic repertoire. An invitation to extend your discovery of the festival through an immersive musical experience.
