PREAMBLE | COMPLIANCE
The protection of personal data and respect for the privacy of our customers and users are of great importance to us.
This privacy policy (the “Policy”) is intended to inform our customers, as well as the end users (“you”) of the VIRTUAL HALL® application (the “Application”), in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (“FADP”) and, where applicable for relevant users, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
It details the personal data that may be processed in connection with the use of the Application, why they are processed, how we use or access them, and your rights regarding them.
Important note on data collection: In line with our technical team’s guidance, Virtual Hall® is designed to minimize the direct collection of personally identifiable data. We only collect and directly process the data strictly necessary for the technical operation of the Application and for the optional services explicitly described below (such as the newsletter if you subscribe to it separately). User account management, purchases, and basic statistics related to your account on the platform are managed by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (or the applicable platform provider), in accordance with their own privacy policy.
Where consent is referred to as the legal basis for processing, this means that we request your explicit agreement before collecting or processing the data concerned (for example, via a checkbox when subscribing to the newsletter on our website, or a setting in the Application for an optional feature). If you do not give your consent, or if you withdraw it later, the data concerned will not be processed (or will no longer be).
Where performance of the contract is referred to as the legal basis, this means that the processing is indispensable to provide the service you requested (use the VIRTUAL HALL® Application) and that the processing is based on the contract binding us, such as the Terms of Use of the VIRTUAL HALL® Application.
Where legitimate interest is referred to as the legal basis, this means that we process data to ensure technical operation, the security of our services, or to analyze usage in a global and anonymized manner to improve our services, while ensuring that such processing respects your rights and freedoms. You may object to some of these processing activities (see Section 6).

- CATEGORIES AND PURPOSES OF DATA PROCESSED
3.1. Data we do NOT process directly
We wish to highlight the categories of data that we do NOT collect or do NOT process directly via the Application:
3.1.1. Virtual Hall®-specific user account data: We do not create or manage separate user accounts for the Application.
Access and identification are handled via your Meta account (or other applicable platform). We therefore do not directly collect your name or your email address via the Application for account management purposes.
3.1.2. Payment data: Transactions related to the purchase of the Application or additional content are processed directly by Meta (or the relevant distribution platform) via your account on that platform. We do not have access to your payment information.
3.1.3. Categories of sensitive (“special”) data: We do not actively process sensitive data (ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health, sexual orientation, genetic/biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a person, criminal convictions). If you voluntarily and unsolicitedly communicate such data to us (for example, via a revealing email address in the context of a support request), they would only be processed strictly to respond to your request.
3.1.4. Audio data (voice input): We do NOT collect voice data via your headset or device’s microphone as of today.
3.1.5. Social data (multiplayer interactions): The Application currently does not include multiplayer features. We therefore do NOT collect data related to direct interactions between users within the Application (e.g., friends list, chat history).
3.1.6. Content of media files viewed: The Application allows access to video, audio and image files. These files may be temporarily stored (cached) on your device to optimize performance and reduce bandwidth usage. We do not collect, analyze, or share the content of these files.

- DATA RECIPIENTS (PLATFORM, PROCESSORS)
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share your personally identifiable data with third parties only in limited and controlled cases:

In the event of a substantial change having a significant impact on your rights or on how we process your data, we will inform you by an appropriate means (for example, a notice in the Application or on our website). We encourage you to review this Policy regularly.
- DATA SECURITY
