Orchestre de la Suisse Romande

Founded in 1918 by Ernest Ansermet, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande keeps symphonic music alive between Geneva and Lausanne. Its history encompasses a broad repertoire, premieres, and a recording tradition championed in particular by Decca. Committed to outreach, the OSR also offers many opportunities for its audiences to engage with the orchestra, from educational initiatives to immersive experiences. In close collaboration with Cybel’Art, it presented icologram® in 2024, then Virtual Hall in 2025, to open up new listening perspectives at the heart of the orchestra. The Bibliothèque de la Cité de Genève has been offering two Virtual Hall headsets free of charge since September 2026.
